How long does a contact lens fitting take?
Plan on about 45 to 60 minutes for the exam and initial fitting, plus a short follow-up visit one to two weeks later. Specialty fittings such as scleral or keratoconus lenses usually take a few additional visits to perfect.
Do you fit contact lenses for children and teens?
We do. Many kids are ready for daily disposables around ages 11 to 13, especially for sports. We spend extra time on handling and hygiene training with the patient and parent, and daily lenses remove the cleaning routine entirely.
